ANIMA MIA

Every life has a story.

Every story has a voice.

Every soul deserves to be remembered.

Anima Mia exists to honour lives lost to violence and

transform memory into creativity.

 WHAT ANIMA MIA MEANS

Anima Mia is Latin for My Soul.

It represents the spirit that lives within each of us and the mark every life leaves behind.

This project was created to honour those who are no longer here and to ensure their stories continue to live on through creativity, culture and community.

      THE STORY BEHIND THE MOVEMENT

Too often, the world remembers the headline but forgets the person behind it.

Behind every loss is a human life that mattered. A son, a daughter, a friend.

A dream that should have had the chance to grow.

The life of Lamar Jackson, known through his music as Hypo, is one of many that reminds us of this truth. A creative artist from London, he built a voice through

music and inspired others through his talent and energy.

His story, like so many others, is not defined by how it ended, but by the life that was lived.

Anima Mia was created so that those lives are remembered with meaning, dignity and creativity.

                                       WHY THIS MATTERS NOW

Too many families are living with loss.

Too many young lives are being taken before they have the

chance to reach their full potential.

This is not just about remembrance.

It is about change.

Young people today have access to powerful creative tools.

Art, music and digital technology can become a way to

express emotion, build identity and create opportunity.

Instead of violence, there is another path.

A path through creativity.

                                       THE DIGITAL MEMORIAL WALL

The Anima Mia Digital Memorial Wall is a space where lives are honoured through art.

Each tribute is created using digital graffiti, music culture and creative expression. Every piece tells a story. Every artwork carries a memory.

The wall begins with a tribute to Lamar Jackson, and will grow to include many more lives, each remembered through creativity and community.

This is not just a gallery.

It is a living memorial.

                                         CREATE INSTEAD OF DESTROY

We believe creativity is one of the most powerful tools a young person can have.

Through Anima Mia, artists and young creators can:

• create digital graffiti

• design tribute artwork

• produce music visuals

• collaborate on creative projects

This is about turning emotion into expression.

Turning pain into purpose.

                                                       THE MOVEMENT

Anima Mia is part of 101 Arts CIC, created to support communities

through creativity and cultural expression.

We invite:

• families

• artists

• musicians

• communities

to come together and build something meaningful from loss.

Every soul matters.

Every life leaves a mark.

Through creativity, their legacy will never fade.

Gemma Collins joined George Valentino at Focus First Academy for a powerful knife crime awareness event aimed at inspiring young people through creativity, conversation, and community.

The visit formed part of the growing Anima Mia movement, created to help young people express themselves through art, fashion, music, and positive storytelling while raising awareness around the devastating impact of knife crime.

Students took part in creative workshops where they produced emotional and thought provoking artwork focused on hope, identity, anti violence messages, and protecting their future. The drawings and creative messages reflected the voices of young people determined to stand against violence and build positive futures for themselves and their communities.

Gemma Collins, who proudly supports Anima Mia as an ambassador, spent time speaking with students, viewing their artwork, and encouraging them to believe in their talent, confidence, and self worth.

George Valentino, founder of Anima Mia, said the event was about giving young people a voice and helping them understand that creativity can become a powerful outlet, purpose, and path away from violence.

The event has already received strong support online across social media platforms and marks the beginning of further school visits and youth engagement projects planned by Anima Mia across the UK.

Selected artwork created by students at Focus First Academy will also be featured on the  Anima Mia website as part of the organisation’s ongoing knife crime awareness campaign.
