Gemma collins with George Valentino

Gemma Collins joined George Valentino at Focus First Academy for a powerful knife crime awareness event aimed at inspiring young people through creativity, conversation, and community.

The visit formed part of the growing Anima Mia movement, created to help young people express themselves through art, fashion, music, and positive storytelling while raising awareness around the devastating impact of knife crime.

Students took part in creative workshops where they produced emotional and thought provoking artwork focused on hope, identity, anti violence messages, and protecting their future. The drawings and creative messages reflected the voices of young people determined to stand against violence and build positive futures for themselves and their communities.

Gemma Collins, who proudly supports Anima Mia as an ambassador, spent time speaking with students, viewing their artwork, and encouraging them to believe in their talent, confidence, and self worth.

George Valentino, founder of Anima Mia, said the event was about giving young people a voice and helping them understand that creativity can become a powerful outlet, purpose, and path away from violence.

The event has already received strong support online across social media platforms and marks the beginning of further school visits and youth engagement projects planned by Anima Mia across the UK.

Selected artwork created by students at Focus First Academy will also be featured on the  Anima Mia website as part of the organisation’s ongoing knife crime awareness campaign.
